String didactics. Discussion between Silvano Perlini and Andrea Cappellari

Andrea Cappellari and Silvano Perlini, well-known Italian teachers and authors with proven teaching experience in schools, will hold a meeting of didactics for the strings with practical demonstrations of some of their students.

The first part of the presentation will focus on the introduction of the new volume Ricordi "Il Libro delle Posizioni" by Perlini, followed by a discussion on the series Fiddle Time by Oxford University Press and Music For Beginners by Editio Musica Budapest dedicated to stringed instruments. During the meeting the teachers present will be encouraged to talk about their strategies. Finally, some students of the Liceo Musicale C. Montanari in Verona will perform live pieces from the EMB and OUP series.


Silvano Perlini

Graduated with honors at the Conservatory "A. Pedrollo" in Vicenza and active in the field of teaching, was a teacher of violin at the State Middle Schools of Music since 1988. He has been part of specific working groups at provincial and regional level and has held numerous seminars on the teaching of ensemble music. As a composer he has been awarded in national and international competitions and his works are performed in Italy and abroad.


Andrea Cappellari

Graduated in Choral Music and Choir Direction, Music Didactics and Percussion Instruments at the Conservatory "G.Verdi" in Milan, he teaches at the Higher Institute of Music Studies "G. Puccini" in Gallarate (VA) and at the Liceo Musicale "Candiani-Bausch" in Busto Arsizio (VA). He holds training and refresher courses for teachers and courses in rhythm and ensemble music in French-speaking Switzerland.
